Running Accomplishments:

5k : 50:00 (Idaho Falls Turkey Run) My wife ran a 10 k that same day faster. lol.

In High School I ran short distances. (1990-02) Made it to State several times running the 100, 200, 400, and relays.

Short-Term Running Goals:

Running 1.5 miles for charity in May. I hope to build to a 5k (running the whole time) by the fall.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run a 10k with my wife. (Well we will start together and I will meet up with her after she finishes the race before me).

Personal:

I work for the Utah County Sheriff's Office. I'm just finishing a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling. I figure the counseling can come in handy on this site. (Some of you guys have some running issues). lol. My wife is a awesome runner who runs with many of the people on this site. She isn't a fan of blogging so she reads comments mostly. My wife ran a 3:24 marathon at The Mesa Falls Marathon last year and took 1st place overall for females. I hope one day she is recorded among the top finishers on this site. :)

My wife (Ali) does a bootcamp every monday and thursday at our local church. It was an awesome work out. I ran about a mile while there and ran a little more at the end. I'm just trying at this point to get ready for the 1 1/2 miles I will run in May for the special olympics. I hope to shed about 10 lbs in the process. I have a winter coat I need to shed. Speedo here I come. lol.

Walter is guilty as charged. Welcome to the blog. Your wife is Ali? I've seen her blog before. In fact, it looks like your blog. LOL.

Just put in a few miles a day. Before you know it, you'll be surprised at how soon you can run 3 miles and how easy it will seem. I am a testament of that.
